Ian Antono or in full Jusuf Antono Djojo was born in Malang, East Java, October 29, 1950.

CAREER

Ian is a reliable guitar musician who now plays for the music group God Bless, led by Ahmad Albar. However, Ian's success passed through Gong 2000, Sapta Nada, Bentoel Band and AKA Band. Before finally landing on a group whose vocalist is now abandoned due to the drug case.

Ian first joined musicians Abadi Soesman, before moving to Jakarta in 1970 and joining the Bentoel Band. It was only in 1974 that Ian officially became the guitarist for God Bless, and released albums such as HUMA DI Atas BUKIT (1975), CERMIN (1980) and SEMUT HITAM (1989). He also had a duet with rock guitarist Eet Sjahranie in playing the lyrics of God Bless.

In the midst of his activities with God Bless, Ian Antono was also active in Gong 2000 and released the albums BARA TIMUR (1991), LASKAR (1994) and PRAHARA (1996).

Ian's ability in the music world is like a guarantee, he is noted to have worked together and delivered successful albums for Iwan Fals, Anggun C. Sasmi, Nicky Astria, Doel Sumbang Rollies, Ebiet G Ade, Ikang Fawzi and others.
